The tribal communities in India represent how multi-faceted a nation we are. Each community with their own indigenous language, cuisine, culture and more. Inspite of being recognized as a Scheduled Tribe by the Constitution of India; the reality is that these tribal communities are an underprivileged, discriminated, and exploited section of our society. As a Diocese with a majoritarian tribal congregation, we have been witness to the hardships and trials the community has faced. To uplift and encourage the efforts of the community, a strong need was felt to create a space where workshops, seminars, gatherings may be conducted to enhance their leadership, culture, literature and entire social gamut.
